A Day of Blessing
On June 7, 2026, the Faith of the Gospel Slavic Church in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, held a special Sunday service to celebrate the ordination of its new pastor, David Y. Borisov.
Church members, ministers, and guests from neighboring congregations gathered for this meaningful occasion. During a special prayer, bishops and pastors laid hands on David and his wife, Elena, asking God’s blessing upon their family and ministry as they begin this new chapter of service.
A New Chapter for the Church
During the service, the church officially announced its decision to become part of the Church of Evangelical Christian Faith of America (CECFA).
This step marks a new season in the life of the congregation and reflects its desire to continue serving God alongside fellow churches united in faith and ministry.
A Pastoral Transition
The church’s previous pastor, Nikolay Mironenko, is preparing to relocate to the Carolinas. During the service, he publicly blessed Pastor David and entrusted him with the leadership of the congregation.
The moment served as a reminder of God’s faithfulness through generations of ministry and His continued guidance for the future.
Looking Ahead with Faith
This day marked an important milestone not only for Pastor David and his family, but also for the entire church. It was a time of gratitude for God’s faithfulness in the past and confidence in His guidance for the future.
We congratulate Pastor David, Elena, and their family on this significant occasion. May the Lord grant Pastor David wisdom, humility, spiritual strength, and a faithful heart as he shepherds the congregation entrusted to his care. May God bless his ministry with fruit, unity, and a deep love for His people.
We also pray for the entire church family as they enter this new season of ministry. May the Lord strengthen the congregation, deepen their faith, and unite them in serving Christ together. May His presence continue to guide, protect, and bless the church for many years to come.
