On August 30, 2026, Bethany Slavic Full Gospel Church held an ordination service for pastors and deacons, marking an important moment in the life of the congregation. The service became a time of gratitude, prayer, and renewed commitment to the work God has entrusted to His church.
The congregation gathered to support those entering a new season of ministry. Surrounded by fellow believers and church leaders, the candidates were reminded that Christian service begins with a willing heart and continues through daily faithfulness. The atmosphere of prayer reflected both the joy of the occasion and the seriousness of the calling being received.
Seven men were presented for pastoral ministry and nine for diaconal ministry. Their ordination recognized a readiness to serve Christ, care for people, and strengthen the local church. It also affirmed the trust placed in them by the congregation and by the ministers who have encouraged and guided them along the way.
Ordination is more than a formal ceremony or the receiving of a title. It is a public commitment to serve with humility, integrity, and love. Those who accept this responsibility are called to remain faithful to Scripture, attentive to the needs of people, and dependent on God in every part of their ministry.
Pastoral ministry carries the responsibility of preaching and teaching the Word of God, offering spiritual care, and helping the congregation grow in faith and unity. A pastor walks with people through seasons of joy and difficulty, points them to Christ, and leads through personal example as well as through words.
Diaconal ministry is also essential to the health of the church. Deacons support the practical and spiritual life of the congregation, respond to needs, and help create an environment in which ministry can flourish. Their service often takes place quietly, but it has a lasting effect on the people and ministries they support.
This occasion was meaningful not only for the newly ordained pastors and deacons, but also for their families and the entire Bethany church community. Ministry is strengthened through prayer, encouragement, cooperation, and the faithful support of others. The service reminded everyone present that the work of the church is shared and that every calling contributes to the mission of proclaiming the Gospel.
As we look back on this special day, we give thanks to God for each person who answered the call to serve. May the Lord strengthen the newly ordained ministers and their families, grant them wisdom and discernment, and help them lead with compassion and courage. May their ministry bear lasting fruit and bring glory to God in the years ahead.
